Transportation 

There are a variety of transportation options available to seniors when they decide to retire from driving.  Adults 60 and older living in St. Louis, St. Charles, Jefferson and Franklin county are eligible for MEAAA transportation services.  Knowing what transportation services are available locally will help ease the transition and maintain independence.

OATS

OATS is a not-for-profit transportation provider that serves most areas in the state of Missouri. MEAAA contracts OATS to provide group transportation to Senior Centers, medical appointments, and essential shopping. This program is on a fixed schedule and voluntary donation are requested. Volunteer Driver

This program provides rides to eligible seniors residing in St. Louis County to medical appointments and other high priority stops. To utilize this service contact (314) 615-4516 to find your area driver.

STAR

STAR is only available to seniors living in St. Charles County, over 60, a non-driver who lacks access to a vehicle and lives independently within the community.  STAR uses volunteers to take eligible clients to medical appointments. This program is not wheelchair accessible and can be arranged by calling (636) 978-3306. 

Public Transit

This transportation is available to residents in St. Louis city and county providing access to METRO bus, METRO LINK and METRO Call-A-Ride (314) 652-3617.  Visit www.metrostlouis.org or call (314) 231-2345 for transportation information and cost.

JeffCo Express
